For Website Owners

If you have a website and are an expert on something, the ListYourTops website is a great way to get more traffic and solidify your reputation.

It is a Wikipedia style, community driven compilation of Top 10 Lists. If you would like, you can create a top 10 list of something related to your website. Yours should probably go under the Top 10 Tips and Guides or General Information section because the other two sections are for entertainment purposes.

When you register and setup a free account, there will be a place to add a link (instantly) to any page on your website you desire. When one of my visitors reads your list, they can simply click on your username (listed as the creator of the list) and view your account page. This will contain the link back to your website and some comments you choose to leave describing the site (or anything else you wish to share).

By coming across your list from an independent website it helps to establish your reputation as an expert in your field. Then, if your Top 10 list is done well, it helps to generate interest and Pre-Sell the visitor so they're in the right frame of mind when they visit your website.

Plus it adds to your link count for the search engines while not being penalized by just being on a page with a bunch of random, semi-relevant links.
