About
the Snob
 Hello,
my name is Jason. Because of my love for coffee, a few years
ago I looked into opening a coffee house. During my research,
I learned more than any sane person would ever want to know
about the steamy beverage.
I
wanted to learn as much as I could because I believed that
making the absolute best coffee (consistently) was probably
the most vital key for the long lasting success of the business.
In
the process of learning about coffee I discovered teas.
That was an unexpected bonus as now I really enjoy tea and
drink it on an almost daily basis.
Well
anyway, to make a long story short...I never did open the
coffee house but I did acquire knowledge that helped me
to enjoy it even more.
My
love for beverages started with coffee, but it didn't take
long to spread over into other beverages.
A
friend of mine introduced me to some exotic beers and I
was hooked. I never knew there was so much diversity and
quality in beer! I always thought the American Style Lager
was like close to 95% of all beers being sold. Pretty naive.
My
newfound revelation on how quality beverages made the simple
moments in life "just a little bit better" meant
I had to start exploring the vast world of wine. I was not
disappointed!
The
love of beverages is now a part of me and I will enjoy it
for the rest of my life.
I
believe in being passionate. I think passion is what creates
progress, increases our standard of living, and just makes
people more interesting! That's why I say the world could
use more "snobs".
Well,
I didn't open up a coffee house but I still wanted to start
a business of some kind (especially now that my love of
beverages was starting to take a toll on our finances)!
Then I came across the idea of creating a website based
on something I was knowledgeable about. Bingo! What about
beverages?
It
was one of the best decisions I have ever made! Now this
website makes me a fabulous income and I really enjoy life
